Azar Saiyar is one of the artists of HAIHATUS25, the 25th anniversary summer exhibition of Haihatus Art Centre, Joutsa, Finland. Curated by Elham Rahmati, Ali Akbar Mehta, Jenna Jauhiainen and Julius Valve, the exhibition consists of works by 26 artists. The exhibition in open 15.6.-25.8.2024.

Aurinkokirja (Solar Book) short film is included in Otos, jälki, henki (Case, Trace, Spirit) exhibition, a joint exhibition of Pori Art Museum and Satakunta Museum. Four artists (Antti Oikarinen, Vappu Rossi, Azar Saiyar & Perttu Saksa) were invited to make new works that were created in interaction with items from the historical collection of Satakunta Museum. The exhibition opened 28.4.2023 and is open until 28.1.2024.

Azar Saiyar is one of the participating artists of The Beginning: A New Abyss, a joint project (a book and an exhibition) of 40 member artists of Galleria Huuto and Parazit-group. The exhibition is on view in Galleria Huuto 23.11.-17.12.2023. The book launch and discussion event is organized 12.12.2023, also in Galleria Huuto.

My home short film was selected to the Forum Expanded strand at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival. The film will have its world premiere at Arsenal Film Theatre on 11.2.2022 at 16:30.

History Bleeds Under Your Fingernails video piece is part of a group show named Between Objects (Esineiden kesken). The exhibition is curated by curator Denis Maksimov. It presents artworks acquired to Helsinki Art Museum HAM’s collection over the past 10 years in dialogue with artworks by contemporary artists from Estonia. The exhibition is on view at HAM mix space 4.2.-29.5.2022.

Monument of Distance can be seen from 80´s TV screen in Kirpilä Art Collection , Helsinki from 2.9.2020. The short video piece is on display as a part of As seen on television – video art compilation curated by Tytti Rantanen/AV-arkki. The other artists in this video art programme are Laura Horelli, Marko Lampisuo, Mika Taanila and Denise Ziegler.

Tell me is shown at Suomalaisen elokuvan festivaali, held in Turku. The screening is on September 4, 22:00 with films by Ville Tanttu and Arttu Nieminen.

Monument of Distance screened at Festival Silhouette held between 22.-29.8.2020 in Paris. Last year the film won the Prix du Jury Hybride at the same festival. The screening is  on Sunday, August 23, at 20:00.

Tell me has been selected to the 16th edition of Lago Film Fest – International Festival of Independent Cinema, which will be held in Revine Lago from July 24th to August 2nd 2020.

Tell me has been selected to the international competition of of Kinodot Experimental Film Festival. The festival that is usually placed in Moscow will be online 22-26.5.2020. Tell me will be screened on 24th of May 2020.

Tell me is shown in online edition of Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen from 17.5.2020 20:00 CET to 19.5.2020 20:00 CET in a distributor screening of AV-Arkki, the centre for finnish media art.
